Week4-S1: Preparing For Arduino Based Project (TEAM 404 – MDX DUBAI)

Project Choice: T-Rex 2.0 Physical Motion Based Game

-Brainstorming

Today, my team and I gathered in class-room for a dynamic brainstorming session to decide on our group project. We explored a range of ideas, evaluated each one, and eventually found ourselves excited about a concept that combined creativity with technical challenge: T-Rex 2.0.

In our discussion, we searched around different possibilities, but the idea of an interactive project featuring a moiton game for T-Rex truly stood out. The project isn’t just about building a cool gadget, it’s about blending sensors, and real-time data to create an engaging, lifelike experience. This approach not only pushes the limits of our technical skills but also promises a fun and educational journey.

We broke down the concept into key elements, identifying what components and technologies would bring T-Rex 2.0 to life. By mixing creative design with hands-on engineering, we’re set to tackle challenges that will deepen our understanding of both hardware and software integration.

-Primary Equipments

  1.  Two Ultrasonic Sensor: One sensor will be facing toward head for detecting duck and another one will be facing toward leg, for detecting jump.
  2. Two Servo Motor: To emulate keystrokes by clicking up and down arrow in keyboard as soon as it receives signal from Arduino (It depends on the logic made for ultra sonic sensor)
  3. Wireless Keyboard: Servo motors will be attached to it.
  4. One Tripod Stand: To hold sensors, Arduino and a wireless keyboard.

This session marked an important milestone in our group project, setting the stage for an exciting development process.

Conclusion

Looking ahead, our (TEAM 404’s) next steps involve prototyping individual components and assigning roles within the team. With clear tasks and goals, we’re confident that T-Rex 2.0 will evolve from a brainstorming session into an innovative project that reflects our combined passion for technology and design.
